Yesterday we went back to the doctor for Martin's first follow up appointment since his surgery. We got through getting the packing out and the doctor had started to "clean" him out. When the doctor was about half way through the left side, Martin told him he was feeling lightheaded. I looked at Martin and I had seen that look before so I told the doctor he was about to pass out. The doctor asked me if I was serious and I looked back at Martin just in time to see his eyes roll back and I said, "Yep, there he goes." Needless to say he did pass out and on top of passing out he started to convulse a bit. Martin wasn't out long but it was long enough to convince the doctor that he was done for the day with this patient! So Monday morning we are heading back to the hospital to have the rest of the procedure performed with Martin under anesthesia.
On a lighter note, for those of you that know me and how dramatic I can be in certain situations you will find this humorous. As most of you know Martin passed out last year at a funeral when I was eight months pregnant with P'nut and I went crazy! Martin said my screaming and crying was what woke him up. Well, yesterday when this happened I was very calm - in fact, so calm the doctor turned to me and said, "You were awfully calm during all that." I just laughed because to me that episode was nothing compared to the one last July!
Last but not least, thank you again for all of the prayers please keep them coming as Martin is continuing to improve day by day and is feeling much better!
