Update

Since we have had so many calls and emails to inquire about Martin and how he is doing I thought it would be best to blog about it. Monday after the surgery he was pretty much out of it for the rest of the day. They really doped him up before he went in and before they took him to recovery - too many funny stories to tell in one blog so ask me next time I see you and we can share a few laughs. I would like to say THANK YOU to Nana and Grandaddy for helping me out on Monday night and allowing the girls to stay the night. That was truly a huge help and we really appreciate it! I have to admit it is nice to have them right around the corner. Tuesday and Wednesday were probably the toughest days. Martin experienced a lot of pain and pressure and Tuesday night I was not so sure we weren't going to end up back in the hospital but we made it through. Yesterday, Martin woke up and told me that this was the best he had felt since the operation and that he felt as if he was turning a corner. He was up quite a bit and even rode with me to pick up the girls from school. Today he said he feels a bit better so hopefully we are heading toward the end of a long rocky road. Thank you again for all the prayers, calls, emails, and dinners - we are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!
