What Little Girls are Made Of ......

Last night, Martin, Samantha and I were sitting in the living room watching Hannah Montana. I decided to go into the kitchen for something. When I came back I arranged the pillows on the sofa so I could lay down and I noticed there was a peanut butter smear on one of the cushions. I knew it was from Samantha because that is what she has for breakfast every morning and 9 out of 10 times she is sitting on the couch. I have to admit when I saw it I was upset because we had this furniture recovered less than a year ago. So in the heat of the moment I immediately reacted and told Samantha that if she didn't stop wiping her peanut butter hands on the sofa I was going to spank her tail. Without any hesitation she turned to me and said, "Momma, I don't have a tail!" All I could do was laugh because technically she is right. Martin looked at me laughing and said, "You have to admit that was pretty good!" And yes it was pretty good and pretty funny too! It is times like this that I am reminded how literal children take things!
