Family Night Fridays

Red had a wonderful idea this past week - Family Night Fridays! She proposed on Friday nights we spend the night together as a family and each week a different person in the family would be able to choose what we would eat for dinner, what games we would play, and what movie we would watch. Martin and I thought it was a wonderful idea and so begins another family tradition! Since the idea was Red's we allowed her to pick everything for the first Friday. We ate pizza, popcorn, and icees. We played Candy Land and watched Clifford's Really Big Movie. In honor of it being our first night initiating this tradition I baked some cupcakes and Red suggested we each blow out a candle on our cupcakes to "christen" the beginning of our new family tradition. It was a wonderful start to what we hope will become a long time tradition in our household!
