Catch up!

Well where to start - hmmm... In January, we found out Red had earned a spot on a local traveling soccer team. So here is where the journey begins.....
The games were on Saturdays and Sundays and consumed a major part of our weekends, but it was so much fun seeing her progress and improve over the weeks and months. She is now playing on an indoor team and we are enjoying this on Saturdays. Red has completed 2nd grade and will be starting 3rd grade in the fall. She is an A honor roll student along with achieving several other academic goals this year - we are so proud of her!

P'nut has completed preschool and will be entering kindergarten this fall!! I cannot believe my youngest will be 5 in a few weeks and we are slowly beginning the journey to an empty nest. It saddens me but also reminds me of how fast time flies and that the time I spend with them now should be cherished because once these days are over I can't get them back. P'nut has also started gymnastics in the last 2 months and she loves it. Both girls are in activities momma participated in at one time or another in her life and I am so excited to see where all of this will lead in the paths of each of their lives.

In January, Martin threw a 40th birthday bash for me and had our friend Patrick Davis play for us and a few friends and family members. It was an absolute blast! I have to be honest 40 truly is the new 20 and I am enjoying every day of it.

Martin has embarked on a new job and we are praying this will bring a lot of peace and good things to our family.  We are still hoping I will be able to obtain a teaching job this upcoming school year but will have to hold out and continue praying for another few weeks before we know anything.
