Since Martin had to work the weekend of Red's birthday we agreed to have her slumber party the week after. We allowed Red to invite 5 girlfriends from school to come over Friday night and celebrate her birthday with her. 3 of the girls invited spent the night and one of them came over for a little while Friday night to have pizza and cake since she was leaving early the next morning to go out of town for Christmas. Red's "boyfriend" and his dad also came for some pizza and cake. Overall, I would say it was a success and a good time was had by all! There was pizza, a Joe Jonas cake (Red is "crushing on Joe" as she would say), cookie decorating and makeovers. They had a great time and did not go to bed until 1 am! I was exhausted the next day but it was so worth it and Red is still telling everyone about her sleep over and Joe Jonas cake. Who knows what the thing will be next year but Red has already begun planning!
