My sweet Red...

Today Red had her awards program at school. I was so proud to see her receive a Terrific Kid award, All As Honor Roll award, and 100 Book Club award! This year has been so different for us. She now has homework she has to come home and finish each day and she is taking spelling, reading, and Social Studies tests! The school she attends has a wonderful program in which teachers recognize students who stand out in helping others, listening to the teacher, and being a good student overall. Each time the teacher recognizes one of these students, the student is given a "ticket" and is entered into a drawing to be student of the week. I am very proud to say in the first 2 months of school Red received 4 of these tickets! We are so proud of her and the young lady she is becoming!
